The Louisiana Workforce Commission has experienced technical problems with a new, automated phone system.
Some claimants have been unable to use the automated feature to file for weekly unemployment benefits.
If you experience problems, you can file for your weekly benefits online by logging on at www.louisianaworks.net/hire
Claimants without computer access can call an LWC agent at 1-866-783-5567 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday,
to file for weekly benefits.
